In1957, Dr.SeusswroteTheCatintheHat.Heusedlessthan230wordstowritethebookandevenasix-year-oldshouldbeabletoreadit.ltwasafunstoryandeasytoread.Childrenlovedit.Their
parentslovedit,too.Todayitisstilloneofthestoriestheylikebest.ThesuccessofTheCatintheHat
madehimwanttowritemorebooksforchildren.In1960,hcwroteabookusinglessthanfiftywords.
ThebookiscalledGreenEggsandHam.In1984,DoctorSeusswonaPulitzerPrize (普利策奖).
HewashonoredfortheeducationandenjoymenthisbooksprovidedAmericanchildrenandtheirparents.Hediedattheageof87,buthisinfluenceremains.Millionsofhisbookshavebeensoldworld-wide.
