Artist, scientist and entrepreneur are what most of us have known some or a lot about.【C1】______people would be surprised if somebody is perfectly good at one or two of these professions,【C2】______a hat-trick(帽子戏法)is quite rare．Man-kit Lam, now【C3】______in Hong Kong, in his 50s is the inventor of 'special painting style', an accomplished【C4】______professor and biologist, and a rising key man with businesses in【C5】______the United States and Hong Kong．But Lam is most【C6】______as an artist, which is his passion(热望)since childhood．Lam was born in Chaoyang in South Chinas Guangdong Province and【C7】______with his family to Hong Kong【C8】______he was a child．A strong art lover, Lam displayed unusual artistic talents when he studied traditional Chinese ink painting【C9】______experienced and artistic Johnson Chou, Zhao Shaoang and Yang Shanshen in his【C10】______years．When he graduated from middle school, Lam asked his【C11】______to let him study art in college．They strongly objected, fearing that it would be too【C12】______for him to survive as a professional artist．'So I chose to study mathematics in college because it seemed to be the【C13】______to learn,' Lam said．'To study【C14】______, you had to write papers．To study physics or biology, you【C15】______conduct experiments．But to study mathe matics, you only had to understand．' The young man had not【C16】______that he had special ability in science．After only six years of study in Canada, Lam got a bachelors degree in mathematics, a s degree【C17】______physics and a doctorate in biophysics, the latter from the University of Toronto．In 1977, Lam went to the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston as an associate professor of ophthalmology(眼科学)．In 1980, Lam was【C18】______to be the founding director of the Hong Kong Institute of Biotechnology, thus beginning his frequent shuttles(往返)between the United States and Hong Kong．In 1993, Lam【C19】______the Life Tech Group of Companies in the United States to develop, manufacture and market healthcare products．After Hong Kongs【C20】______to the motherland, Lam moved the headquarters of life Tech Group to Hong Kong and has lived there ever since.
